Black Friday Sneaker Deals: 11 Picks Worth Buying in 2026 (and 3 to Skip)

By Rachel Simmons
October 13, 2026 7 Min Read

I once bought a pair of trainers because the banner said 60% off. The shoe had been sitting at that price for a month.

That is the trap with black friday sneaker deals. A $140 pair of everyday trainers can become a sensible buy, or an old colorway can pose as a once-in-a-lifetime bargain. This year I am building the list around prices that would actually make me reach for my wallet, not a countdown timer nobody can verify.

A quick warning first. These are shopping targets, not live quotes. The 2026 Black Friday prices have not been confirmed, and prices shift by color, size and retailer. Each pick below has a typical list-price range and a sale range worth watching, so check the current listing and the return terms before you pay. No magic math. Just a shortlist you can use when the sale pages start filling up.

Which discounts should you walk past?

Three kinds of offers make me slow down. One is the inflated reference price, where a listing shows a huge percentage off even though the shoe has hovered near the sale price for weeks. Another is an old running shoe in a size that is only left because it fit almost nobody. The last is an unfamiliar model with weak return terms and a price that looks suspiciously low. A discount means nothing if you cannot wear the shoe or send it back.

For a quick check, search the same model and color at two or three retailers, then compare against the brand’s own listing. Look at the final checkout total too, since shipping and return fees can eat the savings. If a retailer shows a crossed-out price, treat it as a clue. It is not proof of a record low. I would also skip a running shoe just because a creator called it a favorite. Your feet get the deciding vote.

Timing?

It is less dramatic than the sale emails make it sound. Early deals help if your size is limited or you have already tracked a specific model. Black Friday week may bring wider selection or stronger markdowns, but waiting can mean your size sells out. Cyber Monday sneakers can offer a second wave, particularly on leftover colors, though no reliable rule says Monday is cheaper.

My approach is simple. Pick the exact model, color and maximum price before the first sale notification lands. If it hits your target from a retailer with fair returns, buy it. If the price is only okay, wait and compare. For popular styles in common sizes, I would not assume a better deal is guaranteed by Monday.

Everyday sneakers under $100

This is the sweet spot if you need one reliable pair for errands, casual Friday or a rainy Tuesday commute. These models have broad appeal and frequent markdowns, though the best colors and common sizes can vanish early. The target here is under $100. If a discount leaves the shoe above that mark, it needs a better reason than a bright banner.

1. Reebok Club C 85
Typical list price: about $85–$90. Black Friday target: $55–$70. A clean leather court sneaker works with jeans and most relaxed work outfits, and the shape is easy to wear without looking too sporty. I would look for white, cream or a muted accent. The leather upper can feel stiff at first, so do not plan a long walking day straight out of the box.

2. Adidas Grand Court 2.0
Typical list price: about $65. Black Friday target: $35–$50. This is a straightforward sneaker for anyone who wants a classic court look without premium-shoe money. It suits short walks and everyday outfits. The trade-off is cushioning, because it will not feel like a dedicated walking shoe after hours on hard pavement.

3. New Balance 574
Typical list price: about $90. Black Friday target: $60–$75. The 574 has a chunkier, retro-running shape than a slim court shoe, which helps if your wardrobe leans toward straight-leg denim or relaxed trousers. Plenty of color combinations exist, but not every one gets the same markdown. Do not buy a color you will not wear just to save another ten dollars.

4. Puma Carina Street
Typical list price: about $70. Black Friday target: $40–$55. If you like a platform edge without going full chunky, start here. It adds a little height to a familiar court silhouette, usually at a lower list price than many leather lifestyle shoes. One small gripe: the sole can feel heavy if you are used to a lightweight knit pair.

Running shoes for real miles

A running shoe discount only counts if the shoe suits your stride and your distance. If you already know a model works, Black Friday is a smart time to replace a worn-out pair. If you are switching brands or trying a stability shoe for the first time, use a return-friendly retailer and test it indoors first (I learned that after wearing a new pair outside once and being stuck with them). The targets below reflect the kind of markdown that makes a standard daily trainer worth a closer look. They are not a guarantee of the final 2026 price.

5. Brooks Ghost 16 or its current successor
Typical list price: about $140. Black Friday target: $90–$110 for a prior-season model. The Ghost is a dependable daily-trainer reference point for runners who want a neutral shoe with a familiar, cushioned feel. When a new generation lands, the outgoing version may be the better value if the fit has not changed much for you. Check the exact model year, since listings can make two generations look nearly identical.

6. Saucony Ride 17 or its current successor
Typical list price: about $140. Black Friday target: $85–$110 on an older generation. The Ride is a versatile option for steady daily miles, and a prior model can be a strong buy when the fit suits your foot. Read the product name and generation before checking out. A deep discount on the wrong size, or an older pair with uncertain storage conditions, is not much of a win.

7. ASICS Gel-Cumulus 26 or its current successor
Typical list price: about $140. Black Friday target: $90–$110 for a previous generation. Watch this one if you want a cushioned neutral trainer from a performance-running line. Fit is the key. Do not assume your usual size feels identical across brands, or even across model updates. I would rather pay a little more for a pair I can return than gamble on final-sale sizing.

Classics that rarely get slashed

Classic models hold their appeal for years, which also means retailers do not cut every color. Compare the exact style and color across stores, because a sale on one limited colorway says little about the price of the pair you actually want. This group mixes everyday and sport-inspired classics, with targets based on typical list prices and not promised 2026 tags.

8. Nike Air Force 1 ’07
Typical list price: about $115. Black Friday target: $75–$95. The simple low-top shape is easy to style, and its popularity keeps it in the conversation during any Nike Black Friday sale. Still, do not expect every white-on-white size to hit the lowest price. The leather upper and thick sole can feel warm and a bit bulky in summer.

9. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top
Typical list price: about $60. Black Friday target: $35–$45. An easy casual shoe that pairs with shorts, denim and simple dresses. At this price it is a good pick for light everyday wear, especially if you already know how the narrow shape fits. The thin, flat sole is no friend on long walking days, so I would not call it a comfort upgrade.

10. Vans Old Skool
Typical list price: about $75. Black Friday target: $45–$60. The low-profile, skate-inspired shape is dependable, and neutral colorways tend to get more wear than novelty prints. It is a firmer, flatter shoe, which some people love and others tire of after a few hours. If you need arch support, try them on first or plan for an insole that fits comfortably.

11. Adidas Samba OG
Typical list price: about $100. Black Friday target: $75–$90. The slim profile looks sharp with straight-leg pants and can dress up a casual outfit without trying hard. It may not be a deep-discount star. Popular colors can hold near full price, while less common combinations are more likely to drop. The narrow fit also deserves a try-on if your feet run wide.

The best sneaker deals are the pairs you will wear often, bought at a price that still holds up when you check the listing twice. Save this shortlist, confirm the model year on running shoes and keep your return window in view. That beats letting a timer make the decision, and honestly, I would rather miss a deal than own a pair that hurts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are 2026 Black Friday sneaker prices confirmed?

No. The prices in this list are targets based on typical list prices. Check the live listing, your size and the return terms before buying.

Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday for sneakers?

There is no reliable rule. Cyber Monday can bring a second wave of markdowns on leftover colors, but popular sizes may sell out first.

Should I buy last year’s running shoe model on sale?

Often yes, if the fit worked for you. Confirm the exact model year, because listings can make two generations look almost identical.

How do I spot a fake sneaker discount?

Compare the same model and color at two or three retailers and against the brand’s own listing. A crossed-out price is a clue, not proof of a record low.
